摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knock detection device of an internal combustion engine which allows accurate knock determination. SOLUTION: The device executes a knock determination by employing an ion current detection circuit ION for outputting a detection signal Vo in proportion to ion current indicating a combustion state of an internal combustion engine. An ECU includes a first means (ST5) for determining whether or not the level of the detection signal is a first threshold value TH1 or more continuously for minimum time WDT or longer, a second means (ST10) for determining whether or not the level of a detection signal determined to be a first threshold value or more continuously for a minimum time WDT or longer by the first means is less than a second threshold value TH2 until reaching a predetermined end timing LMT, and a third means (ST13-ST14) for executing knocking determination on the basis of the detection signal until the detection timing when timing less than the second threshold value is detected by the second means and on the other hand executing knocking determination on the basis of the detection signal until the end timing when not detected.
