PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring an internal defect for quantitatively and accurately measuring and evaluating the internal defect of a structure. SOLUTION: This method of measuring the internal defect comprises a detected data collection process (S10) of scanning the outer surface of the structure made of ferromagnetic material with a detection sensor having a magnetic flux detecting means having a plurality of channels and collecting detected data, a phase detection processing process (S20) of multiplying the collected detected data by a signal as reference and then performing filtering processing, a coordinate transformation process (S30) of performing coordinate transformation of a vector coordinate of an acquired signal, a thin section detection process (S40) of detecting a thin section of the structure from the coordinate-transformed signal, a defect diameter estimation process (S50) of estimating the defect diameter of the structure based on the manner of attenuation between channels of a detection sensor, and a residual thickness calculation process (S60) of calculating the residual thickness of the structure based on the determined defect diameter and a predetermined relational expression.
