PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external facing material forming an external facing of a building or a structure. SOLUTION: The long external facing material A having a male-female connecting structure formed on upper and lower ends of a decorating face is provided with a male connecting part 4 and a female connecting part 5. The male connecting part 4 formed at the lower end of the decorating face 6 includes an upper member 9b formed by upwardly protruding a front end of a side wall 7 bent toward a rear face, a projection 9a projecting to the rear face between the side wall 7 and the upper member 9b, an engaging member 10 formed by bending the front end of the upper member 9b in a downward inclining manner, and an engaging groove 11. The female connecting part 5 formed at the upper end of the decorating face 6 includes a joint bottom face 12 formed in a manner of upwardly bending a front end of a side wall 8 bent toward the rear face, an inclined lower face 13a formed in a manner of folding back a front end of the joint bottom face 12 and protruding it in a downward inclining manner, a fixing face 15 formed by upwardly bending a front end of a vertical lower face 13b hanging downward from a front end of the inclined lower face 13a, and a fitting groove 16 formed by the vertical lower face 13b and the fixing face 15. When the external facing material A is connected to another one, the engaging member 10 comes into face contact with the inclined lower face 13a, and the projection 9a comes into line contact with the joint bottom face 12.
