<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a sintered sleeve capable of decreasing a surface clearance and easily enhancing dimension accuracy, and to provide the sintered sleeve. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the sintered sleeve 3 comprises a step S1 including a compression process, a step S2 which is a sintering process, a step S3 for surface-pushing, a step 4 which is a first sizing process, a step 5 which is a groove rolling process, and a step 6 which is a second sizing process. The step 1 is for compression-molding a metal powder P molded body. The step 2 is for molding a first molded body P1 by sintering the compression-molded body. The step 3 is for forming a tapered surface 31b on an inner peripheral surface 31a of the first molded body P1. The step 4 is for molding a second molded body P2 by compression-processing the first molded body P1. The step 5 is for molding a third molded body P3 by groove rolling the second molded body P2.
