PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder which enables an operator to easily adjust a standby time from inputting of signal informing of the arrival of a printing object to starting of a printing even if the signal informing of the arrival of the printing object is various. SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder includes a printing head equipped with a nozzle for discharging ink used for printing, an input control port for inputting an external signal to be the first incoming signal, and a control part which is able to change the standby time while making the printing start after the fixed standby time has elapsed from the inputting of the external signal to be the first incoming signal. In the inkjet recorder, the control part changes the standby time according to the time elapsing from the inputting of the first incoming signal to inputting of the second incoming signal which is input after the inputting of the first incoming signal.
