PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique contributing to lowering vibration in the hammering tool linearly driving a tool bit in the longitudinal direction by a swinging mechanism. SOLUTION: The hammering tool includes: a motor 111; a swinging member 129 swinging in the longitudinal direction of the tool bit 119 by the rotational movement of the motor 111; a driving element 141 connected to the swinging member 129, and driven to reciprocate linearly by the swinging motion of the swinging member 129; and a cylinder member 143 formed in a cylindrical shape with a bottom, swingably housing the driving element 141, having an air chamber 143a formed with the driving element 141, and configured so that pressure in the air chamber 143a is fluctuated by the reciprocating movement of the driving element 141. The cylinder member 143 moves linearly in the longitudinal direction of the tool bit 119 by the fluctuation of pressure in the air chamber 143a, and thereby functions as a hammering element 141 driving the tool bit 119.
