PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a load control system to easily and surely open and close a load even if fading occurs. SOLUTION: The illumination control system is provided with a remote controller having three antennae with different planes of polarization of mutually radiating radio waves and capable of transmitting lighting signals by radio waves, and a switch capable of receiving lighting signals. When an operating button of the remote controller is pressed down, a radio transmission circuit part transmits lighting signals in a transmission mode using one of the antennae under control of the control part. The control part, in a series of continuous operation continued as an operation is carried out within a given time after the previous operation is carried out, changes transmission modes from the first transmission mode when an initial operation takes place, to second and third transmission modes when the second and the third operations take place. Since the transmission modes are automatically changed, communication is to be surely carried out even under environments with fading due to effects of polarized wave diversity.
