PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material cutting device with a simple configuration capable of cutting a thick sheet material such as a label or sticker while suppressing the increase of a cutting load. SOLUTION: In the sheet material cutting device, a plate-like movable blade is intersectingly pressure contacted with a fixed blade extended in the cutting width direction with a shear angle, and cutting is performed by moving a pressure contact point formed by the intersecting pressure contacting in the cutting width direction. The movable blade has a power point at the cutting start side and a fulcrum at the cutting end side. Cutting is started by turning the movable blade with the fulcrum as a center by the turning operation of the power point, and the cutting is finished by shifting operation for moving the movable blade in the cutting end side direction with the position of the fulcrum movable from the middle of the turning operation. The position of the power point can be moved so as to suppress the displacement of the movable blade to the opposite direction to the cutting advancing direction in the turning operation.
