PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous acrylic copolymer dispersion which has film formability, adhesiveness, scratch strength, solvent resistance, and the like, as an aqueous coating emulsion, does not use a surfactant, and is controlled in particle diameters and their distribution. SOLUTION: There is provided the aqueous acrylic copolymer dispersion obtained by polymerizing an ethylenic unsaturated monomer having a carboxyl group in the molecule and/or an ethylenic unsaturated monomer having a hydroxyl group in the molecule in the presence of a water-dispersible polymer.
