<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein conventionally, since during installation of a large absorption chiller and heater, it is divided and then, reassembled at the installation site through welding work, this causes a risk of fire due to sparks during the welding work and requires a large facility for the welding work and skilled technical staff to respond to the requirement for achieving high air tightness. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A shell and a regenerator, a condenser, an evaporator and an absorber stored in the shell are divided into a plurality of portions in the longitudinal direction. On the divided end face of the shell, a plurality of elastic seal members for surrounding all of the devices individually or in a combinational method and a flange having a fixation means formed on the outer extended part are provided.
