The present invention relates to a ball head for a camera tripod, and more particularly, to a ball head which enables the forward and backward movement and the left and right movement thereof to be finely adjusted through a mechanical manipulation. Conventional ball heads have mechanisms wherein the ball head is mounted on a camera tripod using a ball, and the ball head is released from pressure to be freely adjusted in the forward and backward directions and the left and right directions by hand, and a ball holding handle is fastened to enable a lower plate for supporting the ball to tighten the ball. However, such conventional ball heads have drawbacks in that the ball holding handle has to be unfastened to release pressure and the ball head has to be finely adjusted by hand, which makes it impossible to adjust the ball head to an accurate and desired angle due to the heavy weight of a telephoto lens, in the event the photographing angle is firstly adjusted by hand, the heavy telephoto lens is mounted, and further second and third fine forward and backward movements are required. For this reason, the ball head of the present invention enables repeated second and third adjustments of the angle through a mechanical manipulation. |
