The method involves storing a characteristic value in network nodes during rerouting of a request. A readdressed request is transmitted together with transmission information by the network nodes based on the rerouting of the request. An existence of a loop condition is determined after reception of the request in one of the network notes. A determination is made in a test whether the request together with the transmission information is received. The request is processed by measures of the existence of the loop condition when the existence of the loop condition is determined. An independent claim is also included for a computer program product comprising a computer program with instructions for executing a method for repeated rerouting of requests.
