PURPOSE: A mobile communication terminal and a method for informing widget contents update are provided to distinguish updated widget contents through an update informing sound by a user. CONSTITUTION: An update controller(210) receives update information about widget contents from a contents server. An identifying unit(220) identifies a widget related to the received update information. An output unit(240) outputs update informing information set corresponding to the identified widget. A storage unit(230) records a different informing identifier corresponding to the widget. The output unit searches an update informing sound from a bell sound storage unit.
