<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device using an electric motor wherein a layout space is reduced, the state of wiring between an alternating-current motor and a controller is clarified, and necessity for a wiring space between the alternating-current motor and the controller is obviated. <P>SOLUTION: The driving device 1 using an electric motor includes an alternating-current motor 2 having a stator 4 and a rotor 7 and a controller 3 that is placed next to the alternating-current motor 2 and supplies alternating-current power to the alternating-current motor 2. The alternating-current motor and the controller are integrally constructed. The stator 4 includes: a stator core 5; stator windings 6 in multiple phases, placed inside the stator core 5; and a stator-side lead wire 9 extended from both end faces of the stator windings 6 in the direction of a rotating shaft toward the rotating shaft. The controller 3 includes multiple power conversion units 10 and a unit-side lead wire 11 extended from end faces of the power conversion units 10 in the direction of the rotating shaft toward the rotating shaft. The stator-side lead wires 9 and the unit-side lead wires 11 are connected outside an end of the alternating-current motor 2 or the controller 3 in the direction of the rotating shaft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
