PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a core rod of a dental implement without waste of material, having high productivity, keeping an accuracy of a shaft diameter easily, furthermore, having no fear of fatigue failure. SOLUTION: The method includes the process of holding an austenitic stainless steel shaft 10 having a fibrous crystal structure with a first mold 11 under a condition of projecting the end, the process of pressing the projected end between a second mold 12 and the first mold 11 to form a working core part 13 thicker than the shaft at the end of the shaft 10, and the process of annealing near a neck part 13a of a border between the working core part 13 and the shaft 10.
