<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmission device capable of supporting a variety of transmission destinations in a simplified fashion and confirming transmitted data with less load on a user. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The data transmission device includes: an image-storing capability of storing image data; a destination setting capability of setting a transmission destination of the image data, in response to an operation of a user; a preview image, displaying the functions of S616 of generating a preview image of the image data to be transmitted at a data transmission time according to both the stored image data and the set transmission destination and displaying the preview image on a display; a display control, capable of activating the preview image displaying capability in the case of transmission destination, which is set by the destination setting capability, satisfies given conditions; and a data transmission function S620, S622 of generating and transmitting a transmission image, according to both the stored image data and the set transmission destination, in response to an operation of the user to instruct transmission of the image data after preview image display.
