<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence frequency of communication errors as soon as possible under a communication condition in which error history comprehensively including individual situations, such as a communication medium falls into a defective state, are considered. Ž<P>SOLUTION: As shown in Fig.1, in facsimile equipment, a communication condition management part 83 reads error history related to partner equipment from a stored content of an error history storage part 79 in starting communication of image data between itself and the partner equipment 73 by a user, and a facsimile communication part 65 is made to carry out the communication processing with the partner equipment under a communication condition obtained on the basis of the read error history and the stored content of a trigger factor storage part 81.
