<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively expose a seal material without using a mask for exposure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A manufacturing apparatus includes a stage 10 on which a pair of substrates 61 and 62 stuck together with a photosetting seal material 7 in a rectangular frame shape interposed are mounted, and an irradiation section 20 for irradiating the seal material 7 for the pair of substrates 61 and 62 mounted on the stage 10 with light, and manufactures a liquid crystal display panel P by making the seal material 7 cured by irradiating the seal material 7 for the pair of substrates 61 and 62 with the light by the irradiation section 20. The irradiation unit 20 has a light source 21 and a cover member 22 having a slit 22a formed so as to project the light from the light source 21 linearly, and is configured to irradiate sides 7a and 7b of the seal material 7 for the pair of substrates 61 and 62 with the light extending in the same direction with the sides 7a and 7b.
