摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam scanner which has a plurality of light sources corresponding to a plurality of photoreceptors which have a plurality of light emitting points wherein excellent optical performance is kept and assured optical path division is possible in a light source system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The light beams generated from the respective light sources 11 having the plurality of light emitting points pass through collimator lenses 12 and apertures 13 and are synthesized with an optical path synthesizing mirrors 14 so that light beams are directed into one and the same direction, and the light beams are guided to a polygon mirror. The distances t (ty, tm, tc) between the apertures 13 and the optical path synthesizing mirrors 14 satisfy the following relation, t<fcoä(2/3)fcy×tanθ-w}/50p, where fco is the focal length of the collimator lenses, fcy is the focal length of a cylinder lens, p is the pitch of light emitting points in a sub-scanning direction, θ is the diagonal incident angle of the light beams incident to a deflection face, and w is the width of the aperture in the sub-scanning direction.
