<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device in which a shade having a light guide passage can be manufactured comparatively at a low cost and easily. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The desk lamp 1 as an illumination device has a lamp fixture 4 constructed of a fluorescent lamp 12 as a light source and a shade 11 covering this fluorescent lamp 12, which is installed at the tip of an arm part 3. The shade 11 is constructed by superposing vertically a plurality of wing-shape bodies 16-18 with a spacing between respective wing-shape bodies 16-18 is made light guide passages 19-22.
