PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus easily capturing an image of stable image quality even if the size of an imaging region is adjusted according to the size of an object for imaging. SOLUTION: If the size of the imaging region set at the time of imaging is changed, an SN ratio retaining imaging condition re-computing part 17e resets other imaging parameters included in conditions for imaging so that the SN ratio of the image captured under the conditions for imaging after the change is equivalent to or larger than the ratio of the image captured under the conditions for imaging before the change. Then, an imaging condition compiling/imaging positioning part 17a sets the conditions for imaging based on the imaging parameters re-computed by the imaging condition re-computing means.
