<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsion composition for a vibration damping material which exhibits basic performances required as a damping material, in particular, remarkably excellent anti-sagging property even under conditions of high humidity or a thick film, that cause sagging of a coating film in the conventional art, and is useful as the vibration damping material in various structures. <P>SOLUTION: The emulsion composition for the vibration damping material contains an emulsion produced by emulsion-polymerizing a monomer component. The emulsion composition for a vibration damping material comprises: an emulsion (A) having a glass transition temperature of -20 to 30°C and having a weight-average molecular weight of 20,000 to 400,000; and a polymer (B) having a glass transition temperature higher than that of the emulsion (A) and a weight-average molecular weight lower than that of the emulsion (A), with the proportion of the content of the polymer (B) ranging from 0.5 to 10 mass% with respect to 100 mass% of the emulsion (A). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
