摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device of a hybrid vehicle capable of reducing the hydraulic pressure necessary for stopping the rotation of a motor, and suppressing any increase of the total length of the driving device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The driving device 1A of the hybrid vehicle includes an internal combustion engine 2, a first MG 3, and a first planetary gear mechanism 10 having a sun gear S1, a ring gear R1 and a carrier C1 which are rotated in a differentially rotatable manner from each other, the internal combustion engine 2 is connected to the carrier C2, the first MG 3 is connected to the ring gear R1, and the power is output from the sun gear S1. A brake 8 is provided, which is capable of changing the state between an engaging state operated by using the hydraulic pressure to brake the ring gear R1 and an unlocking state for permitting the rotation of the ring gear R1, and the brake 8 is arranged on the outer side in the radial direction of the ring gear R1.
