The printing unit (01) has two frame components (13,14) whose positions are changed relative to each other. The coactive frame components are placed against each other at a common joint surface (16) in an operational position and are separated from each other in another operational position. An intermediate space that is partially delimited by the frame components is formed between the separated frame components in the printing unit. A barrier is provided at one of the longitudinal sides of the printing unit. The barrier is attached at one of the frame components.
