SERVER, CLIENT, LICENSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, AND LICENSE MANAGEMENT METHOD

A server generates vicinity check information containing a condition as follows.  That is, the server performs a network position check process on a client which has made a content use request.  If the client is found within a local area network to which the server belongs, the network position check process to be performed on the client can be omitted when the next content use request and after are made by the client.  At least one of the server and the client holds the vicinity check information and checks whether the network position check may be omitted upon the next content use request and after made by the client.
