PURPOSE: A device and a method for generating an MPDU(MAC Protocol Data Unit) in a wireless communication system are provided to improve data efficiency by reducing a wasted resource according to the size of the MPDU in a physical layer. CONSTITUTION: A MAC layer reconstructs at least one MSDU(MAC layer Service Data Unit) received from an upper layer according to the scheduling information of the MAC layer. The MAC layer generates the data part of at least one MAC layer protocol data units. The control information including the information of at least one MSDU comprising the data part of the MPDU is added to the data part of the MPDU. The MPDU payload is generated. A common MAC header including the length information of the MPDU payload and the connection identifier information is added to each MPDU payload. The information about a variable field(310) is included when packing the MSDU.
