PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mask an endoscopic image without storing bit map data of a mask image with a large data size in a memory. SOLUTION: ROM 38 of a processor 12 stores number-of-pixel data 55 obtained by counting the respective number of pixels of a masked portion 46a of the mask image 46 and an exposed portion 52 from a predetermined reference position for every horizontal line of the mask image 46. When the power supply of the processor device 12 is turned on, the number-of-pixel data 55 are read from the ROM 38 and the number-of-pixel data 55 are converted into bit map data 54 of the mask image 46. The mask image 46 is composed on an original image 44 acquired by an electronic endoscope 11 based on the bit map data 54 and outputted to a monitor 27. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
