<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidification method for compressor intake air with little dependence on the outside air intake temperature, and to provide a facility and method of its operation capable of reducing energy loss in temperature or humidity control of the compressor intake air. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The facility includes a compressor 1 for generating temperature-raised/boosted air by sucking and compressing the air, a first passage for guiding gas, a second passage for guiding water, a first spraying device 8 for spraying by atomizing the water guided by the second passage by using energy of the gas guided by the first passage, a third passage for guiding the water, and a second spray device 9 for atomizing the water by colliding the water guided by the third passage with a solid, and is constituted so that the air sucked in the compressor can be humidified by the first spraying device or the second spraying device, and is provided with a fourth passage for supplying the air extracted from the compressor to the first passage.
