<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte solution for an aluminum electrolytic capacitor, which has specific conductivity less changed with time and has a high sparking voltage and is not crystallized at a low temperature and is free from corrosion of a capacitor member. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electrolyte solution includes: electrolyte (C) composed of an alkyl phosphate ester anion (A) and cation (B) represented by general formula (1) or (2); and an organic solvent (D). The organic solvent (D) is a mixed solvent of a γ-butyrolactone and at least one kind of a solvent selected from a group of a solvent (D1), a solvent (D2), and a solvent (D3) wherein: the solvent (D1) is an alcohol having 2 to 5 carbon atoms; the solvent (D2) is amides represented by general formula (3); and the solvent (D3) is pyrrolidones represented by general formula (4).
