<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a longitudinal and lateral feed mechanism for pallets in a horizontal circulating mechanical parking apparatus applicable to layout of three or more rows of lateral lines, allowing the pallet to be fed longitudinally from an intermediate part of the lateral line, facilitating transportation and installation with a small size and light weight for each component, and dispensing with maintenance, such as, wear elongation of a chain so as to extend the maintenance period. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The longitudinal and lateral feed mechanism for the pallets is provided in the horizontal circulating mechanical parking apparatus, having a plurality of pallets 1 arranged horizontally and adjacent in the width and length directions, and alternately repeating lateral feed of feeding the pallets in the width direction, and longitudinal feed of feeding the pallets in the length direction. Each pallet 1 has a lateral feed guide member 10 extending in the width direction, and a longitudinal feed guide member 20 extending in the length direction. The pallet, further, includes: a lateral feed guide roller 30 guiding the lateral feed guide member 10 in a lateral feeding time; a lateral feed apparatus 40 for laterally feeding the pallet; and a sideways feed apparatus 50 holding the longitudinal feed guide member 20 to perform sideways feeding in the longitudinal feed time.
