<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which raises a security function without reducing convenience. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The portable terminal 1 includes: a display part 21 which displays personal information data of a user; a function restriction part 451 which restricts use of a predetermined function; a password storage part 441 which stores a password for releasing restriction on the use of the predetermined function by the function restriction part 451; a display instruction part 452 which issues an instruction to display the personal information data on the display part 21; a determination part 453 which determines whether or not a character string matching the password is included in the personal information data when the instruction is issued to display the personal information data on the display part 21 by the display instruction part 452; and a display control part which displays the personal information data on the display part 21 while preventing at least the character string matching the password from being displayed or viewed when it is determined that the character string matching the password is included in the personal information data by the determination part 453.
