The present invention relates to a system for providing a bidirectional contents service in a cable broadcasting environment, and a method thereof. More specifically, the invention relates to the system that is able to provide a service by implementing the bidirectional contents service in a cable broadcasting environment, and the method thereof. According to one embodiment of the invention, provided is the system for providing the bidirectional contents service by comprising: a ubiquitous unit that processes bidirectional contents to implement the screen and/or control functions for the bidirectional contents service in a reception terminal, and an encoding unit that converts the bidirectional contents processed by the ubiquitous unit into a certain format proper for digital broadcasting in real time. |
