Disclosed is a novel herbicide. Specifically disclosed is a haloalkylsulfonanilide derivative represented by general formula (1) [wherein A represents -C(R7)(R8)- or -N(R9)-; W represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; n represents an integer of 1 to 4; R1 represents a halo-C1-C6 alkyl; R2 represents a hydrogen atom, a C1-C6 alkyl, or the like; R3 and R4 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a C1-C6 alkyl, or the like; R5, R6, R7 and R8 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen, a C1-C6 alkyl, or the like; R9 represents a hydrogen atom, a C1-C6 alkyl, or the like; and X represents a halogen, a C1-C6 alkyl, or the like] or an agrichemically acceptable salt thereof.
