The shutter has a laminar element (1) arranged at a frame by a spring element and movable through radiator air flow along a flow direction toward another laminar element (2). An air passage opening (5) of the former element is arranged at a distance to an air passage opening (5') of the latter element such that a surface of the former element comes in contact with a surface of the latter element and the shutter is provided in a closed condition during maximum reduction of a distance between the elements. An independent claim is also included for a method for covering a motor vehicle radiator shutter.
