The stepper drive has a rotor (1) and two drive units cooperating with the rotor and gradually driving the rotor with the help of centrally supplied fluidic energy. The drive units are controlled individually or in groups. The drive units comprise an expansion element which is expanded by fluid impingement. The expansion elements are arranged in a closed fluid system. An independent claim is included for a stepper drive assembly with a common pneumatic or hydraulic aggregate.
