The method involves detecting projection images of a hollow organ (G) i.e. blood vessel, of a heart (H) of a patient by a projection image recorder i.e. X-ray-C-arm, of a medical system i.e. angiography system. The projection images are displayed on a displaying device. Volume images (BV) are generated from volume data of the hollow organ, and are parallely displayed on another displaying device. The display of the projection images and the display of the volume images are position-correlated with each other automatically. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a medical system comprising a volume data interface for detecting volume data of hollow organ (2) a computer program product having instructions for performing a method for controlling a medical system.
