<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an organic EL element capable of improving an element service life, an organic EL element of a long element service life, surface light source, an illumination device, and a display device superior in service life characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of an organic electroluminescent element which is equipped with a first electrode, a second electrode formed after the first electrode, and an organic light-emitting layer installed between the first and the second electrode, a coating process of forming a coating film by a coating method using a coating liquid containing a material to form the organic light-emitting layer, a calcining process of calcining the coating film in an atmosphere containing inert gas or a vacuum atmosphere, and a second electrode forming process of forming the second electrode are included, and after calcining the coating film, the atmosphere until completion of the second electrode forming process is maintained to have the atmosphere containing the inert gas or the vacuum atmosphere. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
