PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for position information management capable of automatically collecting and organizing geographical information by a simple method and centrally managing a state in a wide range at an early stage. SOLUTION: The system has a transmitting facsimile 1 for transmitting data of a standard form 9; a receiving facsimile 2 for receiving data of the standard form 9; an image processing means 3 for loading data of the standard form 9 received by the receiving facsimile 2 as an image file; an extracting means 5 for extracting data of the standard form 9 in the image file and making the extracted data a non-image file; a storage means 6 for storing the image file and the non-image file; a screen processing means 7 for processing a prescribed position and a state in the prescribed position from the image file and the non-image file and preparing a web page; an output means 8 for performing web page screen display to a user side; and a terminal 20 for browsing the web page.
