摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a sudden increase in stress which occurs between a core assembly and an outer cylinder even though a relatively large dimensional tolerance is given between the core assembly and the outer cylinder, when the core assembly, obtained by assembling a plurality of split cores to the outer periphery of a coil winding body formed into a basket shape by winding a plurality of phase windings, is shrink-fit to the outer cylinder. SOLUTION: A stator of a rotary electric machine includes the plurality of phase windings, and is formed by shrink-fitting the outer cylinder 5 to the outer periphery of the core assembly in which the split cores are assembled. Voids are provided between the outer periphery of the split cores and the inner periphery of the outer cylinder 5, for example, the voids are formed by forming slits 5b on the inner peripheral surface of the outer cylinder 5.
