PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railroad vehicle body with improved rigidity by a simple structure. SOLUTION: This railroad vehicle body 1 having a roof frame 10, a side frame 20 and a floor frame 30 is provided with columnar members 24 extending almost along an upward and downward direction on the side frame, and a connection member 70 isolated from the roof frame below the roof frame 10, extending almost along a vehicle width direction, and connecting upper parts of the right and left columnar members.
