PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding die having high durability. SOLUTION: The molding die 10 has a first die 20 and a second die 30 operable to open/close to each other and molds a molded product in a cavity C formed between both dies. The first die 20 has a die body 22 and a coating layer 24 coating the cavity C side surface of the die body 22. The coating layer 24 is arranged only in a position where the molding surface of the molded product is formed. When the first die 20 and the second die 30 are closed, the coating layer 24 of the first die 20 is not in contact with the second die 30, and the die body 22 is in contact with the second die 30.
