<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel-bearing device to improve sealing performance of a seal and maintain bearing performance for a long period of time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A metal ring 12 is fitted against a base part 6b of a wheel mounting flange 6, and a seal 8 having side lips 14a, 14b is brought into sliding contact. The metal ring 12 is equipped with a cylindrical fitting part 12a fit externally to a shoulder part 4e of a hub wheel 4, a curved part 12b formed as an arc, a circular disk part 12c closely contacting a side surface 6c of the wheel mounting flange 6, and an umbrella part 12d extending from a side surface 6c separated in an axial direction, and a bent part 12e projecting radially outwardly.
