<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote-site device operating system for speedily and surely operating a device provided on a remote site such as a place in the mountains by effectively utilizing existing facilities. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the remote-site device operating system for operating a device 11 to be operated from the outside of a center facility 12 via a processor 13 provided in the center facility 12, a telemeter comprising a master station 15 provided in the center facility 12, a collector 18 provided in a slave station 17 and a communication line ML is effectively utilized to receive an operating signal transmitted from a cellular phone terminal 22 to the device 11 to be operated through an interface device 21 with a cellular phone provided in the slave station, and this operating signal is converted into a signal to be transmitted by the telemeter, and transmitted to the center facility 12, thereby performing remote control via the processor 13.
