PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a radio communication terminal and a base station to perform stable and efficient radio communication, irrespective of the distance between radio communication terminal and the base station. SOLUTION: In the radio communication system 100, the base station 120 derives a propagation delay time of reception data, uses a table 370 to decide the guard interval occupied length of a frame and executes communication with a PHS terminal 110 by the guard interval occupied length, thereby establishing the stable and efficient radio communication.
