The keyboard has an LED (1) arranged at a region of through holes for illumination, and a light emitting in a direction of a flexible cover film (4). The film overlaps a plate-shaped carrier (6), and is transparent at a region of through holes for the light. The LED is electrically contacted at a printed circuit board (2). The board is connected with another printed circuit board (3), so that a distance of the LED up to the film is enlarged. An enlarged surface of the cover film is illuminated at a region of a display element (5) in succession to divergence of the emitted light.
