The bushing (1) has a holding plate (7) provided with a recess (6) and inserted into a seal ring (5). A sealing element (8) is arranged in the recess, and a clamping element (9) i.e. spring band clamp, is adjustably and outwardly fastened at the ring. The recess is arranged in the plate in such a manner that the recess is opened outwardly. The sealing element comprises an opening (10), and a radial sealing force acts on the ring, when the clamping element is tightened. The ring comprises a groove for supporting the clamping element. The plate is made of plastic or stainless steel. An independent claim is also included for a method for feedthrough of an electrical cable through an opening in a wall.
