PURPOSE: A mobile terminal equipped with a flexible display and a controlling method thereof are provided to solve the inconvenience in an input operation by expanding the display region through the internal flexibility inside the mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: First and second flexible display units(151b,151c) are extended between front case(100A-1) and a rear case(100A-2). When a user moves a first packing unit(211a) in the right direction, the first flexible display unit is unfolded in the right side of the main display unit(151a). When the user moves a second packing unit(211b) in the left side, the second flexible display unit is unfolded in the left side of the main display unit. The first and second flexible display units have each display region.
