PURPOSE: A light source for the backlight unit is provided, which makes the light loss minimized and improves luminance. CONSTITUTION: A light source for the backlight unit comprises a PCB(100), a top LED package(200), and a lower LED package(300). The PCB is combined with the inner side of the bottom chassis(10) in order to locate in the lateral direction of the light guide plate(20). The top LED package comprises the LED chip(210) and inclinedly radiates the light to the designated first area(250) of the light guide plate floor side. The lower LED package comprises the LED chip and inclinedly radiates the light to the designated second part(350) of the light guide plate floor side. |
