<p>A microtome 12 comprises a cassette 44 changing apparatus 14 which comprises a stationary guide bar 16, first slider 18, and second slider 20. The guide bar guides the second slider which guides the first slider. The first and second sliders 18, 20 and guide 16 are coupled to one another by rack and pinion arrangement 22-26 such that movement of the second slider 20 along the guide bar 16 by drive 28 causes movement of the first slider 18 together with the second slider 20 and additionally relative to the second slider 20.</p> |
