<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container composed of foam formed material having a smooth outer surface which is suitable for applying a printing, or a label adhesion or design. SOLUTION: There are provided slits 7a, 7b exposed at both ends within a cavity arranged along a coupling line between a pair of coupled dies 51, 61 not provided with any vent hole enclosing the cavity for forming a foam formed material when the dies are closed in such a manner that their opening width is set to be smaller than a particle diameter of the raw material beads to be supplied. Then, gas discharging can be carried out or steam can be supplied through inter-die passages 91a, 91b acting as passages communicating with excessive service ports 93a, 93b and through inter-die spaces 92a, 92b, the raw material beads filled in the cavity 4 are heated more than their melting point through dies 51, 61 and the foam formed material is formed in its foamed state with a certain difference in degree of melting being applied between its surface layer and an intermediate layer.</p> |
